What Influence and Effects Does Rap Music Have on Teens Today?

When talking about rap music, we can automatically think of black people, gangsters, and bad vibes in general. Many parents who have teens living under their roof, can expect teenagers going crazy and maybe being rebellious. In today’s society, parents are concern about their children going to the wrong path of how rap music appeals to teens.

Today’s generation and previous history have affected teens in any way but that is not always the case. Rap music can be done intense that sometimes teens are drawn to their celebrities and start to track off and act differently towards parents and their surroundings. Parents or adults with teens should remember when they were in the same situation having all different kinds of posters and even trying to dress up and act as their biased.this can start leading to violence, it is not always the same situation but it is most likely to show same situations but is most likely to show some signs. Not all rapping songs connect with violence or sexual. For instance, there are types of rappers that just express how they feel, as some people rather rap when expressing their thoughts. Mainly talking about their future, childhood but those that do talk about violence can cause exciting and dangerous lifestyle but not all songs to condemn violence. Research from Western Connecticut State University found those who listen to rap music are more likely to be violent ( Jackson, Nakia December 2018). This may be true, but it can be a different type of violence, acting in a rebellious way.

Today society teens often listen to rap and many other genres that also could affect the same way rap music does. But this is not the end for parents or any adults with teens, listening to rap music. This could be a good way for parents to invite themselves to help students develop greater awareness of adult issues, this would be a great encouragement behavior for teens. Preventing from teens going in the wrong direction in life is by boosting them to do activities or looking for a part-time job so teens don’t start act with different behavior. Especially, and importantly that parents should have with their children is being open and honest, with each other. ( Jackson, Nakia December 2018). This would also help them prevent any signs of depression or signs of changing behavior.

To conclude rap music can appeal to teens in many ways but not all are affected in the same way. Rap can be intense but it’s also a creative outlet and a way to connect with others. Parents being involved and having a trust can have better communication and be connected to how today’s rapping generation appeals to teens.

Blog :advise on writing paper

Writing an essay can be challenging but practicing and improving your skills can help you better it won’t be perfect because there is no such things as perfectionists without making mistakes. But personally I don’t think I’m a good writer with always making mistakes but, what I can say from previous advice given that it’s pretty simple but a bit hard. When writing an essay no matter what kind of essay it is, always plan ahead and give yourself time. Giving yourself time can help yourself by giving some time management and getting ideas and finding good resources. Keep in mind that when using resources to make sure to find and use good resources that help you answer or find ideas to your paper and for sure try to avoid Wikipedia as it is a site that anyone can edit and add false information and could give you a bad presentation on your work. Using sources from school sites can be a better use, as well as any sites that end with .gov or .edu this would be sources that are true because they are government sites and educational. Checking with someone else is good because if you already revised you can get a different mind of feedback and recheck your work with new edits. Practicing this can help you bit by bit improving your writing skills. They will be mistakes no matter what but that what makes a good writer.

Blog:Hip hop and Academic Studies

Back then when students wanted to hear music while doing their work, they were not allowed to listen to music and even today some teachers think that it is not good to learn and use music at the same time because of their effect on studies.

Teaching students about hip hop and the effects in society can help students with their studies or how it can be involved. Many teachers think it does not help but instead of pushing them away, push yourself into the youth world. Teachers should be able to teach students about hip hop if students see professors reaching into today’s world of music that they are familiar with and instead of pulling them into  “teachers world.” students learning the basics and in-depth of music, students can relate to poems and understand poems like Shakespeare or other types of literature.

Moreover, listening to music while working or learning hip hop may not have any meaning but it can help actually understand better other people and respect them. Even though the music talks about bein racism and discrimination but many people can relate, because they either went through the same situation. Hip hop is a chance to engaged students not only with classwork but with their own lives.

Expressing students about hip hop into studying could be thought to handle their own lives and culture despite their fear. That’s probably why teachers don’t teach hip hop music when it could help understand today’s student’s generation and understand what they are going through.

Impact of music to the Society

The article from the American Academy of Pediatrics informs the importance of the music role in society. The article is straight forward, by indicating how people’s behavior affects them by talking about children and their parents being unaware and worried. The author indicates that people get interested in lyrics and music videos because they can relate. But it affects differently as it also mentions the difference in gender. This was a helpful source getting an overall review of what the author makes points of music affecting society.

Survey Of Rap Music

Survey for Rap music
As making the survey our main focus was in misogyny and women along with drugs and sex and there were different types of responses. The survey was filled with about 121 people it was an easy way to get people to take the survey the social media help a lot. About 55% is female and 45% is male and from what the responses many of the responses seemed like they do not mind and listens to rap music and even people who do not listen to music they still answered the questions. In the survey, a question was asked about “ How do you feel when rap music talks about women, sex and drugs, etc?” and many people took it seriously and actually who do like rap answer more in-depth. Noticing in the survey I was surprised that about 95% of people like to hear not just typical rap music but be cultural and listen to other types of raps. Rap is a common to listen and assuming to those who did listen to the rap this survey was a way for them to actually know what they like about rap and remember why rap got their interest.

Music in Society

Music speaks in many ways and when listening to rap music some people may not like and they will automatically assume that it will be about drugs, gangsters, sex and many other bad things and it is not all about bad things but it is also can be good depending on how you use it. In today’s society, the way people express in music can sometimes offend people or it can either just put them in a good mood. When music is about violence and guns and drugs the society as the people tend to express in a nasty and rude way as man/woman sometimes says it to joke around and there is situations when it is not the right moment to be joking around. But when the music is talking about celebrities the way they express their feelings, other people can relate and they do not feel alone because they know people can relate and the person singing or rapping also feels the vibe. Sometimes people are very cruel and do not think through and use the music to shame others or start some beef. It is very important to understand where the person comes from and where they are going in expressing their feelings and the story behind the song, every song has a story to be told.

Introduce Yourself (Example Post)

This is an example post, originally published as part of Blogging University. Enroll in one of our ten programs, and start your blog right.

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.

Why do this?

  • Because it gives new readers context. What are you about? Why should they read your blog?
  • Because it will help you focus you own ideas about your blog and what you’d like to do with it.

The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.

To help you get started, here are a few questions:

  • Why are you blogging publicly, rather than keeping a personal journal?
  • What topics do you think you’ll write about?
  • Who would you love to connect with via your blog?
  • If you blog successfully throughout the next year, what would you hope to have accomplished?

You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.

Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.

When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
